Dott. Carlotta Capizzi
She was born on 26.11.1996 in Merate, after a year as an exchange student in the USA she graduated from the faculty of Law of the University of Trento cum laudem with a thesis titled "Amending the Rome Statute. Chances and Reasons to include the crimes of terrorism, human trafficking, drug trafficking and ecocide", supervisor Professor Mauro Politi.
She has studied at the Universidade de Lisboa in Portugal and at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she has deepen international humanitarian law and the Israeli - Palestinian conflict.
She has been part of the European Law Student Association and a volunteer for AFS Trento during her University years.
She started the internship to become a lawyer in January 2020 at canestriniLex | avvocati Law firm, six months before her graduation and she is now attending a course on penitentiary law organized by Bicocca University in Milan.
She mainly deals with criminal law with a particular attention to penitentiary law, also in its supernationale perspective (art. 3 ECHR).
She is a volunteer for the project "Giuristi Dentro" organized by the Caritro Foundation and for AFS Rovereto.
She is fluent in English and Portuguese and speaks basic Spanish.
